BGIS is seeking a Mobile General Skilled Technician in Brooklyn, NY to perform repairs, preventive maintenance and small projects from a service vehicle. You will service commercial facilities and ensure peak performance through diagnostics and proactive maintenance.

The role requires 2–5 years in electrical systems in commercial settings, plus strong communication skills and ability to read blueprints. Company vehicle, benefits, and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years experience installing, maintaining, and repairing complex electrical systems in commercial buildings.
• Proficiency with ladders and other tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, and diagrams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Budget management experience.
• Comfort using mobile devices for work orders.
• Experience in general repairs (painting, carpentry, plumbing) in commercial settings.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school education in building-related fields preferred.
• Relevant training certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facilities.
• Repair and troubleshoot building systems from a mobile service vehicle.
• Respond to service requests and document work in the maintenance database.
• Drive company vehicle and comply with fleet policy.
• Assist in facility related projects.
• Maintain tools and arrange for repair/replacement.
• Provide observations and recommendations for enhancements.
• Ensure work meets quality and contract requirements.
• Submit expenditures timely.
