Job summary

BGIS seeks a Mobile General Skilled Technician in Elizabeth, NJ and surrounding areas to service commercial facilities. You’ll perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and small projects from a fully equipped service vehicle, focusing on electrical and general building systems with strong customer service.

Travel between sites is required, with growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits. Applicants bring 2–5 years of electrical maintenance experience, read blueprints, and maintain safety

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing complex electrical systems in commercial settings.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans and diagrams and use mobile devices for work orders.
• Professional, courteous, customer-focused demeanor and strong communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED; trade school in building-related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance at various facilities while driving to sites.
• Repair and maintain building systems and complete small projects per established processes.
• Provide observations on facility conditions and recommend improvements.
• Maintain tools and record expenditures; ensure safety and compliance with policies.
