Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with three or more years of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic experience in forklift or equipment repair.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers and management.
• Ability to understand service and training manuals and schematics.
• Ability to safely operate power tools, lifts, hoists and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Promote goodwill and accountability between the company and the customer; provide superior customer service.
• Analyze and diagnose equipment problems and breakdowns; recommend correct service and repair actions.
• Make appropriate equipment repairs or modifications.
• Perform scheduled equipment maintenance.
• Document each service call and repair with necessary paperwork.
• Maintain serviceability and accountability of all company equipment.
• Keep the service van clean, orderly and hazard-free.
• Manage service and parts inventory in the company vehicle.
• Provide well-maintained personal tools required to perform duties.
• Keep the work area clean and hazard-free.
• Cooperate with management on additional duties as assigned.
