Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is hiring an Automotive Installation Technician to install and support GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers.

The candidate will work hands-on with electrical systems, diagnose installation issues, and travel to customer sites for mobile deployments while maintaining safety and quality that aligns with right-first-time goals.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
• Familiarity with fleet telematics and vehicle electronics is a plus.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light- and heavy-duty fleet assets, including trucks and trailers.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring and power/ground connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test connectivity and system functionality; document installations with photos and notes.
