Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to join our growing team. You'll install and support GPS, telematics, cameras, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers, with opportunities to expand into advanced diagnostics and upfitting.

This hands-on role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, the ability to travel to customer sites, and a commitment to safety and high-quality right-first-time installations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive installation experience is required.
• Comfortable working in a mobile environment and traveling to sites.
• Experience with vehicle electrical systems and diagnostics is preferred.
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and follow technical instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring and related connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean installations.
• Test systems and diagnose electrical or installation issues.
• Document installations with photos and service notes.
• Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations.
