Job summary

Chick-fil-A Supply is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician—Class C to service and repair a range of delivery equipment, including tractors and hydraulic lifts. This role emphasizes safety, documentation, and timely maintenance to maximize equipment availability for Chick-fil-A restaurants.

The technician will work outdoors, require EPA licenses within 12 months, and use platforms like Cummins Insite and Bendix ACOM.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must obtain EPA 608 & EPA 609 licenses within 12 months of hire.
• Willing to train across fleet repair and use tech platforms like Cummins Insite and Bendix ACOM.
• Knowledge of diesel fuel use and DEF handling.
• Ability to perform duties safely with PPE and follow policies.
• Willing to obtain ASE and EPA certifications to progress.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong attention to detail and math skills.
• Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking.
• Valid driver's license and ability to walk long distances.
• Able to lift 30-60 lbs, up to 100 lbs, and push/pull 300 lbs.
• Available to work nights, weekends, shifts, and on-call.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties following Chick-fil-A safety standards.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment.
• Ensure diesel exhaust fluid supply for tractors and trucks.
• Maintain fuel and DEF dispensing records accurately.
• Wash and clean tractors, trailers, and trucks regularly.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues with qualified tech.
• Complete thorough documentation and work orders in the Fleet Maintenance System.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as battery checks and lubrication.
• Raise trucks using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
• Communicate problems to Supervisor and adhere to safety policies.
• Operate safety and environmental equipment as needed.
