Job summary

Chick-fil-A Plainfield is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to service heavy tractors, trailers, liftgates and related delivery equipment. This role focuses on safe operation, timely repairs and maximizing equipment availability for delivery.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, document work orders, and use a Fleet Maintenance Management System. Night and weekend shifts may be required to support transportation operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EPA 608 & EPA 609 licenses or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with diagnosing and repairing brake systems (air and hydraulic).
• Knowledge of diesel engines and refrigeration systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems.
• Document maintenance activities and repairs in the Fleet Maintenance Management System.
• Repair delivery equipment, tractors, trailers, and related machinery.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance are followed.
• Train or mentor other employees as needed.
