Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking a permanent full-time Automotive Technician to support our truck fleet. The role offers hourly pay of $39.00, a weekly payroll, and a $2,000 retention bonus paid quarterly in the first year.

Position includes a 40-hour work week with weekend premiums (Tuesday–Saturday, 2 PM start), fuel card and company cell phone, and mobile-site service vehicle for mobile technicians. Ryder provides extensive benefits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Professional diploma preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in a maintenance/repair role.
• Non-Commercial Driver License CLASS E
• State driver’s license as required.
• CDL CLASS A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnosis, repairs, inspections and preventive maintenance for non-contractual customers.
• Complete routine vehicle maintenance such as tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose/repair engines, transmissions, and fuel components as needed.
• Conduct hydraulic brake inspections, repairs, and replacements.
• May operate mobile maintenance vehicle and travel to customer yards within assigned region.
• Document work orders and repair notes in Salesforce.
• Adhere to safety and compliance guidelines at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
