Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a permanent, full-time Mobile Automotive and Diesel Technician to support our heavy-duty truck fleet in Lenexa, KS. The role offers a weekly pay structure with a base hourly rate of $36.00 plus a quarterly retention bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

This mobile position provides a work-site service vehicle, fuel card, and company cell phone, with opportunities for training and career growth within a safety-first environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
• Routine preventive maintenance including oil changes, brakes and tires.
• Diagnostics and repairs on AC and electrical systems.
• Major engine repairs and diesel aftertreament or fuel injection repairs.
• 3+ years relevant work experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; other state licenses as required.
• Able to drive Ryder vehicles and follow company policies.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers; manage preventative maintenance and repair estimates.
• Road test vehicles to identify and resolve issues; ensure repair quality and customer satisfaction.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs across listed systems (A/C, brakes, cooling, electrical).
• Document repairs per company systems; maintain organization and follow-up.
