Ryder System, Inc. is hiring an Automotive Technician to support our Truck Fleet in Raleigh, NC.

This permanent full-time role offers weekly pay, a $2,000 retention bonus every quarter for the first year, and a 40-hour work week with weekend premiums. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or professional diploma preferred.
• 4+ years of experience combining classroom training and work experience.
• Commercial/Non-commercial Driver License requirements listed (CDL Class A preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to drive Ryder vehicles and pass required screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnosis, repairs, inspections and preventive maintenance for non-contractual customers.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, fuel filter changes, and basic suspensions.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions and fuel components as needed.
• Perform hydraulic brake inspections, repairs and replacements.
• Possibly operate mobile maintenance vehicle and travel to customer yards within the region.
• Maintain documentation in Salesforce and ensure repair notes are accurate.
• Follow safety, environmental and compliance guidelines.
