Job summary

Ryder's Torque unit in Raleigh, NC is hiring a Permanent Full Time Automotive Technician to support our truck fleet. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on light duty trucks, with a focus on safety and reliability.

This role offers weekly pay at $39 per hour, a quarterly retention bonus of $2,000 during the first year, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and training opportunities. A CDL-A is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Professional diploma preferred.
• 4+ years of combined classroom training and work experience.
• Non-Commercial Driver License CLASS E.
• Valid CDL CLASS A preferred.
• State driver’s license as required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organization.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex diagnosis, repairs and preventative maintenance for non-contractual customers.
• Routine maintenance: tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, fluid checks, alignments, basic suspension and light/mirror replacements.
• Diagnose/repair engines, transmissions and fuel components.
• Hydraulic brake inspections/repairs/replacements.
• May operate mobile maintenance vehicle and travel to customer yards within region.
• Document work orders and repair notes in Salesforce.
• Follow safety, environmental and compliance guidelines.
