Job summary

Goodfellow Corporation is seeking a Fabrication Field Tech to perform field fabrication, welding, and mechanical repairs at customer sites, focusing on mobile rock crushing equipment and conveyors. You will set up, troubleshoot, and tear down equipment, while educating customers on proper use and coordinating with service, parts, sales, and support teams.

Candidates should have 3+ years welding/fabrication experience, strong stick-welding skills, and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of welding/fabrication experience required; more experience preferred.
• Strong stick-welding skills and hands-on fabrication experience.
• Experience with heavy equipment, conveyors, or rock crushers is highly valued.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and develop practical field solutions.
• Dependable, self-motivated, with ability to work with limited supervision.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to lead a team when assigned, and willingness to extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Install components for new builds, including catwalks, liners, chutes, and related structures.
• Repair cracked, broken, and damaged equipment in the field.
• Operate welding equipment, truck cranes, torches, plasma cutters, and related tools.
• Diagnose field problems and use problem-solving skills to determine repairs.
• Communicate professionally with customers and provide work updates.
• Complete quality work while maintaining a safe, organized job site.
• Serve as a team lead when needed and help coordinate field work.
