Job summary

Bigge Crane and Rigging in Houston, TX seeks a Field Service Mechanic to repair and maintain rough terrain, crawler and mobile crane units, and forklifts. The position emphasizes on-site service and repair, fabrication as needed, and adherence to safety procedures.

Requirements include at least three years welding/metal fabrication experience, proficiency in stick and MIG welding, 3G/4G certifications (6G preferred with training), ability to read fabrication drawings, and willingness to work

Qualifications

• 3+ years welding/metal fabrication experience.
• Proficient in stick and MIG welding.
• 3G and 4G welding certifications required; 6G preferred with training.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain rough terrain, crawler, and mobile crane equipment.
• Perform cutting and welding of plate and pipe.
• Execute fabrication projects for trucks, trailers, cranes and related equipment.
• Lattice boom repair and boom lacings replacement.
• Perform crane inspections per manufacturer specs and ensure safe operation.
