Job summary

Hi-Tech Weld Overlay Group is seeking a Weld Equipment Technician to maintain and ready welding/gouging/blasting systems for field projects and in-house use. You will assist shop staff and field project managers with setup, calibration, and training activities, while ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution of tasks.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of hands-on welding or industrial construction experience.
Ability to operate common welding tools and equipment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to work on-site and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

Assist craft personnel by ensuring materials, equipment, and tooling are present and safe.
Maintain equipment logs and site inventory of materials and consumables.
Set up equipment for weld overlay projects and staged safety processes.
Ensure weld overlay machines and support equipment function correctly.
Collaborate with Welding and NDE personnel to train on equipment use.
Follow all Company safety policies and procedures.
Support productivity and quality standards within schedules.
Account for and store equipment using checklists; report missing/defective items.
Assist Union Craft Boilermakers and provide support tasks as needed.
Assist with warehouse tasks including repair, testing, and R&D activities.
Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation with all employees and customers.
