Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to service a diverse fleet at customer sites, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and advanced repairs to minimize downtime. The role involves working with a team in a safety-focused environment across equipment such as aerial work platforms and generators. A high school diploma/GED and 1–2 years’ experience with diesel or heavy equipment are required, along with a valid driver’s license; bilingual abilities may be needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
1–2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.
Knowledge of hydraulic and troubleshooting fundamentals; electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment at customer locations.
Diagnose and repair diesel and heavy equipment.
Work in a safety-focused environment to minimize downtime.
Possess and use mechanic’s tools as required on-site.
