Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician - Preventative Maintenance (Field) to operate a mobile service vehicle and perform in-field preventative maintenance and minor repairs at customer sites.

You will work to Kirby Smith’s One Mission, One Team, One Plan values and ensure high standards of service. The role requires hands-on mechanical ability, willingness to travel and work after hours.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in heavy equipment or related field.
• Demonstrated basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English well enough to follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Performs in-field preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Plans methods and sequence of performing repairs.
• Keeps rework within established guidelines.
• Notifies manager of additional work required.
• Completes required paperwork efficiently and timely.
• Attends factory and other training as specified by supervisor.
• Maintains service truck in good working condition and cleanliness.
• Performs daily, monthly, and annual safety inspections.
• Models safe work habits and adheres to safety policies.
• Travels to customer locations for service.
