Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician for Preventative Maintenance to travel to customer sites and perform in-field maintenance and minor repairs. This role requires basic mechanical skills and the ability to work independently while upholding safety standards.

You will operate a mobile service vehicle, communicate effectively with customers, and complete required paperwork. Relocation assistance is not specified, but training and advancement opportunities are available

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience in a heavy equipment environment or related field.
• Demonstrated basic mechanical knowledge.
• Must provide and maintain a basic set of hand tools.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Ability to work overtime, travel overnight, and work weekends as needed.
• Class B CDL preferred
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Communicates Kirby Smith vision and values; works as One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal.
• Performs preventative maintenance services on equipment (lubrication, greasing, fluid checks).
• Plans methods and sequence of performing repairs.
• Keeps rework within established guidelines.
• Notifies the Manager of any additional work required on the unit.
• Contributes to departmental and product line goals.
• Completes required paperwork efficiently and timely; attends factory training.
• Promotes goodwill and maintains excellent customer relations.
