Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Mobile Operating Engineer to ensure reliable operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related systems across assigned properties. You will perform rounds, preventive maintenance and on-demand repairs to keep environments comfortable and safe.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial property operating HVAC and related systems, valid trade licenses, Universal Technician certification, and strong energy-management knowledge;

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience in operating HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems in a commercial property setting.
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as required (Journeyman/Master or local licenses).
• Universal Technician certification for CFCs dependent on market licensure.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.
• Strong knowledge of energy management and building systems operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment including chillers, DX units, pumps and distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical equipment, control gauges, valves, thermostats and diffusers.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs as needed.
• Replace lamps, fixtures and signage; ensure clear access to exits.
• Conduct fire and life safety inspections and report to supervisor.
• Document activities and respond to emergencies and customer concerns.
• Comply with safety, codes and company directives; complete required safety training.
