Job summary

Ernst Concrete is seeking a skilled mobile equipment technician in Columbus, OH to diagnose, repair and overhaul heavy vehicles and plant equipment. You will use mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems expertise, read diagnostic data, and perform welding and basic maintenance tasks to keep operations moving.

You will conduct road calls as needed, maintain safety standards, and complete documentation in fleet maintenance software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License, Class A or B preferred.
• Ability to read GPS data from company tablet.
• Pre-employment background check, MVR overview, physical/DOT and drug/alcohol testing required.
• Proficient reading/writing/speaking English.
• Proven safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment as needed.
• Inspect, test and measure completed work for conformance to standards.
• Record maintenance in fleet software.
• Conduct road calls for equipment/CMVs.
• Maintain safety and DOT compliance.
