Job summary

Columbus Equipment Company is seeking a Mobile Technician to service and repair heavy equipment at our Ohio locations. The role includes diagnosing hydraulic and electrical systems, performing preventive maintenance, and restoring machines to working order.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
• Experience with truck-mounted hydraulic equipment and related heavy machinery.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer and software skills.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Complete on-the-job and classroom training for mobile tech role.
• Uphold Columbus Equipment Company safety commitments and customer safety requirements.
• Determine overall condition of machines through inspections and provide maintenance.
• Diagnose issues with hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Restore equipment to working order through component replacement and/or repair.
• Exhibit positive and effective communication with associates, vendors, and customers.
• Keep records, parts ordering/inventory, and basic contract provisions with respect to warranties and invoicing.
• Utilize operator and parts & maintenance manuals in determining procedures and identifying parts.
