Job summary

Ernst Concrete in Harrison, OH seeks a skilled Mobile Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and overhaul heavy equipment for our ready-mix fleet. You will inspect, test, and record service data while using welding and calibration tools to ensure reliability.

This role requires a High School Diploma, CDL is preferred, and a strong safety record. Flexible hours and road-call support are expected as part of maintaining equipment uptime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Class A or B driver’s license preferred.
• Standard mechanical tools to work on vehicles, CMV, or equipment.
• Willing to undergo background check, MVR, physical/DOT and drug/alcohol testing.
• Proficient read/write/speak English.
• Ability to read GPS from company tablet.
• Strong verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Must be able to take directions from management.
• Proven safe driving record and no unexplained gaps in employment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine repairs and perform maintenance on mobile equipment.
• Repair or overhaul equipment using hand tools, hydraulic presses, welding equipment.
• Inspect, test and measure completed work using gauges to verify conformance.
• Record maintenance data in company fleet software.
• Conduct road calls as needed for equipment or CMVs.
