Job summary

Ernst Concrete is seeking a skilled maintenance mechanic to diagnose, repair, and overhaul mobile equipment, including hydraulics and pneumatics, to keep our ready-mix fleet running safely and efficiently.

The role requires hands-on repair with diagnostic devices, record-keeping in fleet software, and adherence to DOT guidelines. Strong English communication and safety focus are essential for this on-site position in our Ohio operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Pre-employment background check and DOT-related testing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul mobile and stationary equipment using tools and welding equipment.
• Diagnose faults with diagnostic equipment and calibrate devices.
• Inspect parts for wear and tear, and replace as needed.
• Record maintenance in fleet software and conduct road calls as required.
• Ensure safety protocols and PPE are followed during all tasks.
