About The Role

As Lead Mobile Engineer, you will own the development, performance, and delivery of a core mobile application for enterprise customers. You will remain closely involved in implementation while providing technical direction across multiple mobile initiatives. This is an individual contributor leadership role: you will guide architecture and execution, mentor engineers, and help teams deliver reliable, maintainable experiences without stepping away from the code.

You will work with product, engineering, QA, DevOps, and external development partners to turn priorities into effective mobile solutions. You will also explore practical ways to use generative AI and agentic AI tools to improve development workflows, increase engineering productivity, and accelerate delivery while maintaining quality and sound engineering judgment.

Qualifications

You bring at least eight years of professional mobile development experience and a strong record of delivering production applications in fast‑paced environments. You have deep, hands‑on expertise with React Native and TypeScript, along with a solid understanding of JavaScript and modern mobile engineering practices.

You also have strong native development experience in Swift and/or Kotlin, including the ability to build custom modules and optimize platform‑specific functionality. Your background includes designing scalable mobile architectures, reusable component libraries, and predictable state management using tools and patterns such as Redux, Zustand, and Context API.

You can make thoughtful trade‑offs among delivery speed, product needs, quality, and technical debt. You communicate clearly, mentor engineers, and are comfortable guiding distributed or hybrid teams and external partners. Experience incorporating AI‑assisted development tools, large language model workflows, or agentic AI solutions into software delivery is important. Familiarity with C#, Azure, SQL, Snowflake, CI/CD, automated testing, and mobile app release management is also valuable.

Responsibilities

Lead development and delivery of the flagship mobile application, staying actively engaged in design, coding, code review, and problem solving. Define and implement scalable architecture, reusable components, state management approaches, and practices that support performance, accessibility, and maintainability.

Establish and champion mobile engineering standards across product teams, including guidance for navigation, testing, performance optimization, and application architecture. Mentor engineers and development partners, provide constructive technical feedback, and help raise code quality and delivery discipline.

Partner with QA and DevOps to strengthen CI/CD pipelines, expand test automation, and improve release processes for the App Store and Google Play. Evaluate and apply AI‑powered development tools responsibly, identifying opportunities to streamline routine work and support faster, high‑quality product delivery.
