The position offers a fully remote work arrangement in the United States, with base compensation of $150,000–$250,000 plus token incentives and a performance bonus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering, including hands-on mobile development.

Backed by prominent institutional investors, the company is developing products designed to make sophisticated financial markets more accessible through blockchain technology.

The company is seeking a Senior Mobile Software Engineer (React Native) to take technical ownership of a new mobile trading application as it prepares for broader public launch.

This is an opportunity for a highly experienced, hands‑on mobile engineer to own architecture, influence product direction, and build sophisticated trading functionality in a lean, globally distributed engineering organization.

The application is already developed and approved for both the Apple App Store and Google Play, with substantial new functionality planned. You'll work directly with engineering and product leadership and serve as the primary mobile technical expert on the team.

This is a hands‑on individual contributor position with the opportunity to grow into a formal Tech Lead role.

What You'll Do

• Own the architecture, performance, scalability, reliability, and long‑term maintainability of a production React Native application across iOS and Android.
• Design, develop, and deliver sophisticated mobile trading features using React Native, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Take technical ownership of the mobile product, making critical architectural decisions and establishing engineering standards.
• Build functionality involving real‑time market data, trading interfaces, order execution, and decentralized financial applications.
• Lead mobile features throughout the development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and other developers on API integrations and real‑time data flows.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, optimize application performance, and improve overall mobile reliability.
• Own mobile testing, CI/CD processes, monitoring, and releases to the Apple App Store and Google Play.
• Provide technical guidance through code reviews, architectural discussions, and engineering best practices.
• Help shape the long‑term technical direction of the mobile platform while remaining deeply involved in hands‑on development.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant hands‑on mobile application development.
• Strong production experience with React Native, React, TypeScript, and JavaScript .
• Demonstrated experience building, shipping, and maintaining production mobile applications on both iOS and Android.
• Experience owning mobile application architecture or serving as the primary technical decision‑maker for a mobile product.
• Current or recent professional experience developing applications in cryptocurrency, blockchain, Web3, or decentralized finance (DeFi) .
• Strong knowledge of mobile architecture, state management, performance optimization, testing, and debugging.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs, including REST services.
• Working knowledge of Node.js and modern JavaScript development practices.
• Experience managing mobile application releases, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to independently drive technical projects from design through production.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across distributed engineering teams.
• A track record of meaningful ownership and sustained contributions to production products.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building cryptocurrency trading applications, digital wallets, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), or fintech platforms .
• Experience with real‑time trading functionality, including market data, order execution, charting, and financial interfaces.
• Experience with WebSockets, gRPC, or Server‑Sent Events (SSE).
• Familiarity with blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and decentralized financial infrastructure.
• Experience developing or scaling mobile applications with significant production usage.
• Previous experience serving as a technical lead or mentoring other engineers.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced startup or lean product engineering team.
