Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Michigan is seeking a Donor Driver Specialist to support mobile donation drives. You will transport staff and supplies, assist with donor screening and phlebotomy, and ensure a safe, positive donor experience.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver license. Training is provided; evening and weekend shifts are common, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 7% 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years relevant people-facing experience preferred; less than 1 year required.
• Must have a valid Driver License and cargo certification.
• Knowledge of DOT guidelines for operating a full-size commercial van.
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Follows DOT guidelines when operating a van/Promaster and safely transports staff, supplies, and equipment.
• Loads/unloads supplies and sets up at the mobile site, including tech systems and QC.
• Performs donor screening, mini-physical, and phlebotomy.
• Delivers excellent donor experience with professional, empathetic service and timely responses to inquiries.
• Maintains equipment and records; prepares packs for transport when needed.
• Rebooks donors for future appointments and supports a positive team culture.
