Avis Budget Group in Farmingdale, NY is hiring an experienced diesel/medium-duty mechanic to repair cargo vans and trucks across brands. You will perform preventive maintenance, brake, suspension, electrical work, and diagnostics with minimal supervision, including some on-site mobile repairs to keep fleets on the road.

The role requires a valid CDL may be needed at some locations, at least 2 years of mechanical repair experience, and ASE certification.

Formación

• 2 years experience performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics on medium- or heavy-duty equipment.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 more within first year.
• Valid Driver’s License; CDL may be required depending on location.
• DOT medical clearance may be required.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in a mechanical shop environment.

Responsabilidades

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on cargo vans and box trucks with minimal supervision.
• Include preventive maintenance, oil/fluids, tires, brakes, suspension, electrical diagnostics, and warranty repairs.
• May conduct mobile repairs and travel to vehicle locations to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Operate on newer vehicles across multiple brands to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
