Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an experienced automotive technician to perform standard and complex repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles across multiple brands, with occasional mobile service to customer locations.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of medium/heavy-duty repair experience, ASE certification, and the ability to obtain additional ASEs within the first year. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License Class A, B, or C; CDL may be required by location.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical repairs/diagnostics on medium/heavy‑duty equipment.
• At least 1 ASE certification; ability to obtain 2 more within 1 year.
• DOT medical clearance ability.
• Comfortable outdoors and in a mechanical shop with moderate noise.
• Own complete tool set for automotive and diesel repair.
• Basic computer skills including typing/data entry.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds; stand/bend/reach frequently.
• Must be 21+ and authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on cargo vans and box trucks.
• Include preventive maintenance, oil/ fluid services, tires, brakes, suspension, electrical work.
• Diagnostics and warranty-related repairs according to skill level.
• Possible mobile repair visits to customer locations to diagnose and resolve issues.
• May drive Budget Trucks on public roads for repair/transport needs.
