Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking an experienced diesel/medium-duty technician to service a diverse fleet of budget trucks and cargo vans in Orlando. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostic tests, and repairs across multiple brands with minimal supervision, including mobile repair visits.

The role requires an ASE certification (or the ability to obtain two more) and a valid CDL if location demands it.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics on medium-duty or heavy-duty equipment.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Working knowledge across ASE areas including Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Brakes and Electrical.
• Must be 21+ and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have complete set of tools for automotive and diesel repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks with minimal supervision.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, oil/fluid services, tire repairs, brakes and suspension work, and electrical diagnostics.
• Handle warranty-related repairs based on skill level and travel to customer locations for mobile repairs when needed.
• Operate Budget Trucks on public roads for repair or transport needs as required.
