Job summary

Allegiance Truck Centers in Newark, New Jersey, is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician to travel to customer worksites for vehicle maintenance and repair. Qualifications

• 1-2 years minimum work experience as a Medium and/or Heavy Diesel Technician.
• Completion of diesel/automotive certificate programs in repairs and service, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer worksite to maintain and repair customer vehicles.
• Provide technical service on vehicles and equipment including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic services.
• Read Repair Orders and perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.

Skills

Mechanical aptitude

Experience with truck brands

Valid driver's license

Detailed knowledge of truck repair

Ability to use a personal computer

Education

High School Diploma/GED

Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair
