Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to service Class 6-8 trucks and trailers at customer yards across the service area. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with a company service truck, top-tier tools, and field support to keep fleets road-ready.

Qualifications

• Must be 23+ with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on diesel tech experience on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs in the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow‑up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment.
• Handle emergency road service calls with confidence and urgency.
• Respond to dispatch requests for service or maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and fix issues quickly.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools and welding equipment to complete repairs.
• Road test vehicles to ensure top-quality standards.
• Work with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving.
• Take ownership of a company-issued service truck and conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
• Be a collaborative team player in a fast-paced setting.
