Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to perform on-site maintenance and repairs for Class 6-8 trucks and trailers. You will operate a company-provided service truck, run preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and emergency roadside service while delivering safe, reliable service to keep America moving.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of hands-on diesel experience, strong DOT/air brake skills, and the ability to work independently in a field

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on diesel technician experience on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• DOT inspections and air brake repair expertise required.
• Strong communication skills with customers and drivers.
• Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation and digital tools to document repairs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Bring your own hand tools; company provides vehicle and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment.
• Respond to emergency road service calls with urgency.
• Handle dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems to keep fleets running.
• Use handheld computers and precision tools to identify and fix issues quickly.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure repairs meet quality standards.
• Work with vendors to source parts and keep operations moving.
