Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC, North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group, seeks a Mobile Diesel Service Technician to perform heavy-duty repairs and maintenance offsite at customer locations in Hickory, NC.

You will develop relationships with customers, identify service opportunities, and manage repair orders and parts inventory on the service truck. This safety-sensitive role emphasizes customer satisfaction and compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' heavy duty truck repair experience.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector certifications required. Engine and Component certifications are a plus.
• Must be self-motivated and capable of working with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components with general supervision.
• Coordinates customer repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen for task assignment.
• Coordinates with Service Advisor for proper work scheduling of all mobile maintenance business.
• Advises customer of needed service work and suggests additional labor, parts and related services.
• Follows safety practices and maintains safety of vehicles and equipment.
