Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Ardmore, OK is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to maintain fleets at client locations and perform service calls with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will diagnose with diagnostic equipment, perform preventive maintenance, manage inventory on the service unit, and coordinate with the Service Manager while delivering excellent customer service to customers across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 9 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Have a current and valid CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability is a must.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and documentation of inspections.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and keep it stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and perform daily duties as assigned.
• Maintain after-hours availability for service calls and adjust schedule as needed.
• Read job orders, diagnose, and plan work procedures using diagnostic tools.
• Perform diagnostic and documentation functions in the company computer system.
• Inspect safety devices and adjust as necessary.
• Lubricate parts and verify repairs meet specifications.
• Submit paperwork accurately and promptly.
