Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Nashville, TN is seeking a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support our truck fleet. The role offers a flexible 40-hour work week, weekly overtime opportunities, and a mobile service truck provided for on-site service.

Compensation includes $37.00 per hour with a quarterly $2,000 retention bonus within the first year, plus extensive benefits, ongoing training, and growth opportunities within Ryder.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Four (4) years or more relevant work experience preferred.
• Requires demonstrated aptitude and applied mechanical repair experience on heavy/medium duty equipment.
• Minimum tools required to perform job duties per Ryder policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and vehicle repairs on heavy/medium duty equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, including AC and electrical systems.
• Road test vehicles to identify causes of complaints and verify repairs.
• Maintain repair orders and essential records; ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue and communicate repair plans.
