Job summary

Ryder in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support our truck fleet. The role includes diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and heavy-duty diesel repairs with on-site service vehicles provided.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, handling oil changes, brake work, and complex repairs, with paid training, benefits after 30 days, and opportunities for advancement. Strong emphasis on safety, timely repairs, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience with mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
• CDL class A preferred; other state licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnostics and repairs on heavy- and medium-duty equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance including oil changes and brake work.
• Diagnose and repair AC, electrical systems, and other components.
• Drive and operate Ryder vehicles for service and testing.
• Complete repair orders accurately and maintain records.
• Coordinate work with customers and internal teams; ensure quality and safety.
