Rush Truck Leasing in California is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to maintain our fleet and respond to service calls at client locations. You will perform cleaning, maintenance, inspections, and basic disassembly/assembly as needed, following manuals and documenting work.

You will work with diagnostic tools, manage inventory on the service truck, and stay available for after-hours calls. A valid CDL and high school diploma are required, with 2 years of Class 7 & 8 technician experience; CDL/Medical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• A current and valid CDL and Medical card as required by the FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability is a must.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets insurability guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for keeping the vehicle properly stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned duties daily.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Maintain and inventory the supplied tools for maintaining diesel engine trucks and equipment.
• Read job orders and observe vehicle operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to determine malfunction and perform the correct repair procedure.
• Knowledge of diagnosis, removal and replacement of injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, and other parts.
• Perform diagnostic and documentation functions on the company computer system.
• Inspect guards, bolts, and safety devices and make adjustments.
• Lubricate moving parts and verify conformance after repair.
• Perform preventative maintenance as requested.
• Document and submit paperwork or enter into mobile service program for work performed.
• Respond to customer inquiries and foster relations.
• Advise customer of repairs to be performed within next 3 months.
• Participate in training and apply it on the job.
