Job summary

Rush Truck Leasing in Bloomington, CA seeks a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to maintain client fleets and perform on-site service calls. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition diesel engines, transmitters, and related components, with emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL and Medical card, 5 years of heavy truck experience, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Have a current and valid CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability is a must.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets insurability guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for keeping the vehicle properly stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and perform daily assigned duties.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and flexible schedule.
• Maintain and inventory tools for diesel engine trucks and related equipment.
• Read job orders to determine malfunction and plan procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to determine malfunction and perform repairs.
