Job summary

Rush Truck Leasing is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to maintain our fleet and handle service calls at client locations. You will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy trucks, reading manuals and using diagnostic tools while delivering strong customer service.

CDL and Medical card are required, with at least 5 years of Class 7 & 8 technician experience. Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, maintaining inventory, documenting work, and staying available for after-hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Current and valid CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are a must.
• Valid driver license with a driving record meeting insurability guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage service truck inventory and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and perform daily duties as assigned.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and an open work schedule.
• Read job orders, diagnose, and plan repair procedures using diagnostic equipment.
