Job summary

Cox Automotive's Cox Fleet division is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service our mobile on-site fleet across various locations. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light to mid-level repairs, with opportunities to learn advanced diagnostics under senior technicians.

Requires HS diploma/GED, DOT prerequisites, valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in a field setting with safety as a priority. Competitive hourly pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; 3 or 5 years related field experience possible.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification required within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems and engine electronics.
• Inspect, test and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using handheld test instruments.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Maintain safety checks and daily pre-/post-trip inspections of service trucks.
