Job summary

Cox Fleet, a leading on-site mobile maintenance provider, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and advanced mechanical diagnostics across a mobile fleet. You will service light through heavy-duty trucks and trailers at customer sites, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will lead diagnostics, triage complex repairs, and liaise with customers on estimates. A strong toolset, DOT certification readiness, and reliable transportation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related field experience, or 5 years' related field experience.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment is required.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory requirements; ability to pass DOT background and medical exam.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning and mechanical systems on trucks.
• Test, road-test and verify proper operation of repaired vehicles.
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory on-site; document RO findings.
• Document findings and upload photos using TRAIT app and company-issued device.
