Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is seeking a Mobile Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty truck repairs offsite at customer locations. You will develop relationships with customers to achieve labor sales quotas and identify opportunities to increase service sales within your territory.

The role requires at least three years of heavy-duty truck repair experience and relevant certifications. A CDL/DOT card and safety-conscious approach are preferred; tools are expected to be on

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of heavy-duty truck repair experience.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector certifications required; Engine/Component certs are a plus.
• Must be self-motivated with little supervision and focused on customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive can-do attitude are essential.
• Must have the necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine heavy-duty truck repairs and maintenance at customer locations with general supervision.
• Coordinate repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen; schedule work with Service Advisor.
• Advise customers on needed service, recommend additional labor, parts, and related services.
• Maintain safety practices, report damage, and ensure proper upkeep of company vehicles used for service.
• Develop and sustain favorable customer relations; drive labor sales and service revenue for assigned accounts.
