Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to maintain a client fleet and respond to service calls at customer sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and complete documentation.

The role requires CDL and involves after-hours availability, with opportunities for growth within a large truck center network. Based in Albuquerque, NM, you will work with service managers to schedule repairs and maintain inventory on the service truck while delivering excellent

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 9 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current and valid CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and keep the vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible schedule.
• Maintain and inventory tools for diesel engine trucks and equipment.
• Read job orders, assess vehicle operation, and plan procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment and manuals to perform repairs.
