Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in West Allis, WI. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on cargo vans and box trucks, often traveling to the vehicle location to complete repairs efficiently.

Requirements include a valid CDL, 2+ years of heavy-duty experience, and the ability to obtain DOT medical clearance. This is an on-site role with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• CDL required for driving Budget Truck and vehicle access.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy/medium duty equipment.
• Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance.
• On-site work requirement; not remote.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, and tire repairs.
• Carry out repairs with minimal supervision; assist senior mechanics as needed.
• Travel to vehicle locations to perform repairs and get vehicles back on the road quickly.
