Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group operates a mobile CT unit in Augusta, GA, seeking a CT Technologist to provide high‑quality imaging and compassionate patient care. You will join a team of clinical professionals delivering safe exams in a collaborative setting.

The role emphasizes independent operation of imaging equipment, adherence to ALARA, and strong patient communication. Eligible candidates should meet radiology experience, education, and ARRT certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRTR (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT CT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles to minimize dose.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and re-image if needed.
• Finalize studies in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; assist with crash cart and lifepack equipment.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

ARRTR (Radiography)

ARRTCT – ARRT Computed Tomography

BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association
