Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group operates a New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA and seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care. You will work in a collaborative team, perform CT procedures, and ensure safety and ALARA principles while maintaining accurate documentation in RIS/PACS.

The role offers hourly pay with shift differential incentives, a full-time schedule, and opportunities for career growth and education through Wellstar’s CareerCare program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA dose.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock equipment as needed.
• Organize daily workflow to meet timeframes and support department flow.
