Job summary

Sycamores in Los Angeles County partners with the 988 mental health crisis hotline to provide in-person support during crises. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Team Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) responds to calls, performs crisis stabilization, safety planning, and assess danger to self or others, coordinating follow-up with hospitals, housing, and transport as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed in California as Licensed Psychiatric Technician required.
• Must maintain relevant licensure as a condition of employment.
• 2+ years of licensure and experience preferred.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete trainings required by the Agency, federal, state and local regulations.
• DMH experience preferred.
• Maintains all required licenses and certifications.
• Driving is an essential function of this position; valid CA driver’s license and insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Respond in person to crisis situations as part of MCOT.
• Provide crisis stabilization and safety planning.
• Assess danger to self or others; write 51/50 holds as needed.
• Coordinate care with MCOT Peer Support Specialist and other partners.
