Job summary

Sycamores in LA County is hiring for Mobile Crisis Outreach Team LPT positions. The Licensed Psychiatric Technician will respond in person to crisis, perform stabilization, safety planning, danger assessment, and gravely disabled holds as needed.

This role co-responds with a MCOT Peer Support Specialist and collaborates with 988 call center, police, hospitals and ambulance teams. The MCOT team covers Antelope Valley, San Fernando Valley and San Gabriel Valley with flexible shifts; starting pay

Qualifications

• Licensed in the State of California as Licensed Psychiatric Technician required.
• Must maintain relevant licensure as a condition of employment.
• 2+ years of successful licensure and experience preferred.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete all trainings required by the Agency, federal, state and/or local regulations.
• DMH experience preferred.
• Maintains all required licenses and certifications.
• Driving is an essential function; valid CA driver's license, good driving record, and proof of auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Respond in person to provide crisis stabilization and safety planning.
• Assess danger to self/others and gravely disabled holds as needed.
• Coordinate care and follow up with MCOT Peer Support Specialist.
• Locate hospitals, ambulances, housing, and other support services.
• Collaborate with 988 call center, police, hospitals and ambulance transport.
