Job summary

Sycamores is partnering with the 988 mental health crisis hotline to provide field support via the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team. The Licensed Psychiatric Technician will respond in person for crisis stabilization, safety planning and follow-up coordination across hospitals, police, and ambulance services in specified LA County regions.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the State of California as Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
• Must maintain licensure as a condition of employment.
• DMH experience preferred.
• Must have a valid California driver’s license and insurance.
• Ability to drive agency vehicles for crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Respond in person to crisis situations to provide timely support and stabilization.
• Coordinate care with MCOT peers and collaborate with 988, police, hospitals and transport teams.
• Assess danger to self/others and apply safety planning; write 51/50 holds as needed.
• Coordinate patient transport, housing, and hospital placement when required.
