Job summary

Sweetser in Augusta, ME seeks a Crisis Intervention Specialist to provide assessment, support and stabilization services in the community and crisis units. The role operates 24/7, with starting pay $22.00–$24.35 per hour and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

You will respond to crisis calls and work with families, schools and agencies to resolve acute situations. The ideal candidate has a background in crisis intervention, a clean driving record, and MHRT/CSP or an associate degree with preference for

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or MHRT/CSP required; bachelor's preferred.
• Clean driver's license required.
• Mobile Crisis Experience preferred.
• Experience providing crisis intervention for children and adults is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crisis intervention requests from clients, families, and service providers to resolve acute psychiatric crises.
• Determine need for face-to-face assessment and arrange meetings at safe, convenient locations.
• Communicate with individuals in crisis to assess mental status and goals for crisis resolution.
• Develop crisis stabilization plans with the person served and family/guardian.
