Job summary

BestCare in Oregon is seeking a Mobile Crisis Counselor to join our mobile crisis response team. You will assess crises, determine service needs, and coordinate referrals to ensure clients and families receive appropriate support.

Under supervision, you will guide the Peer team, conduct risk assessments, and document care in the EHR. The role requires a master’s degree in behavioral health, relevant licenses, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in accepted behavioral health field.
• Must meet Oregon Administrative Rules definition of a peer.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or obtain within 3 months of hiring).

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis assessment and intervention as part of BestCare’s mobile crisis response.
• Provide immediate mobile response to individuals in mental health crises.
• Develop safety plans and assess risk factors for harm to self or others.
• Coordinate with law enforcement as needed for safety.
• Document care in EHR and maintain records per agency policy.
• Collaborate with Peer team and community partners to link to services.
